Yesterday, Mythri Movie Makers officially announced the start of their new film featuring Jr NTR in the lead role. Directed by Prashanth Neel, this highly anticipated project has officially begun production. As one of Tollywood’s biggest films, it’s generating a lot of excitement. However, this announcement indirectly confirms that Prabhas’ Salaar 2 has been postponed indefinitely. Stay tuned for more updates!

Following the huge success of Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas is back at work and is currently one of the busiest actors in India. He is now working on The Raja Saab, which is slated for release next summer. With the film being heavy on VFX, the shooting is progressing quickly, allowing ample time for post-production.

Alongside The Raja Saab, the superstar was slated to start work on Salaar 2. Reports indicated that the highly anticipated sequel was set to begin this month. However, it has now come to light that the Salaar sequel has been postponed indefinitely. While Prashanth Neel’s busy schedule, due to his next project with Jr NTR, is a significant factor, the primary reason for the delay is reportedly the superstar Prabhas’s overloaded schedule.

The latest buzz indicates that Prabhas has an extremely busy schedule and hasn’t been able to allocate dates for Salaar Part 2. Currently, he is filming for The Raja Saab and is expected to start Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga afterward. Even if Prashanth Neel had planned to shoot the sequel alongside NTR’s film, it wouldn’t have been feasible due to Prabhas’ unavailability. It’s expected that he will begin work on the Salaar sequel next year, after completing Spirit.

Prabhas is set to star in “The Raja Saab,” which is expected to be released in April 2025.
